A few years ago, at Witt Building Materials on Weisgarber Road in Knoxville Tn, I took this picture of an old caboose. It was on display there. i'm not sure if it still is. I used this picture to teach a drawing lesson to my 4 year old daughter.

| As I usually do, I drew a line across the middle of an 8.5" X 11" paper. I drew on the top portion, she drew on the lower portion. This took several trying (for me) sessions. I was using a different method to find the length of a few parts (comparing them to other parts). This was difficult for her to grasp, I should have just had us guess about the size of the parts. I didn't express to her how much of an ordeal it was. | ||||||||||
