Loyalties are an interesting thing. I wonder if there are those who consider it treasonous to openly support a country that my country's leadership opposes. Consider that the leadership of this country is more than a little irrational, and therefore more than a little dangerous. Part of that irrationality is to deceive the public about, and lay political siege to a country that defends policies I endorse. It is quite rational that I defend that country. The weakest thing I could do would be to remain a bystander. Consider too that the real treason is the self destructive intent of this country's leadership.  Previously, I had wondered why this government makes efforts at propaganda on the internet, when their actions blatantly disregard what people think . That was simply groggy oversight. They care very much what people think; they want to keep people in their camp. Pacification of the lost, I guess. Maybe lost isn't the word. I remember very clearly an opinion my 7th grade teacher shared with the class. He was talking about civics and fair trials. He said that if he was driving in some foreign countries, and a child was injured by running in front of his moving car; he would drive as fast as he could to the nearest border. No fair trial expected. Starting to sound familiar? And that teacher's opinion, think you'd hear that in class today?
