So many people wanting Mit Romney to end Obama Care. Wasn't one of
President Obama's campaign promises to get the US out of the wars? I
wonder if it will take Romney the same amount of time to end the
health care mandate?
There is a woman that my wife knows
to a degree. My wife was always praying that the woman would remove
the numerous “Chrome Sluts” from her truck. That's what my wife
calls those silhouettes of a woman in a sitting position, not in a
chair. The image is made to look as though the woman has no clothes
on. You see them on semi trucks a lot.
One day my wife meets her nearby, and notices all the chrome images
are gone. My wife asked about it, and here's what the woman related:
She was at a nearby big box store, having something done to her car,
in the garage section. An employee gets too close and physical, pulls
her hair a little. Probably in a jesting way, this was all related to
me second hand. This was followed by a confrontation, she slapped
him, something like that. The incident provoked some introspection in
the woman, and she concluded that it was the graphics on her truck
that made the man think she was easy. So the graphics came off.
I have a job that's in a nicer area,
about 30 miles away. I needed fuel for my truck, and stopped at a
station out that way. Around here, we have our separate areas, well
to do, country-redneck, restored historic urban, and the 'hood. So I
was a little surprised at what I encountered out there. As I was
exiting the store, there was a tall black youth in the lot, acting
very belligerent. He was about 25 feet away as I past, farther when I
got to my truck. He was yelling something like this:”I hate East
Tennessee, I'm looking to hurt somebody, passing through East
Tennessee, gonna hurt somebody, uppercut! Uppercut! Uppercut! As he
said the last words, he was swinging his right fist upward in a
dramatic way. According to WND news, there have been mobs of black
youths beating people, and I thought that the thing likely was upon
me. It's not impossible to shock an overwhelming opponent, and get
out of a situation like that. At any rate, I'm not a pacifist in a
case like that, I'll give them something to think about before they
finish me off, it'll cost them something. I didn't see the guy's
fellows, but I doubted that he was alone. So I started calculating:
Either he doesn't know much about fighting, and he'll try these big
dramatic moves; or he does know something, and this is a bit of a
ruse. He's bigger, younger, and likely stronger than I am, so I have
one shot at this. The best plan is to watch closely as the distance
between us is closed, see if he has any sophistication in his
footwork and stance. I'll need to get in where I can deliver quick
straight jabbing moves...
So the violence never happens, I do my work and go home. As I was
relating the incident to my wife, she interrupts and says:”I would
have REBUKED that foul and murderous spirit in Jesus' name!” She's
right, I shouldn't be so shallow.
One of my next pieces of political clip art will be a hammer and
sickle on a rainbow background, with the words: THE STATE MUST
CONTROL THE MEANS OF MORALITY.
You try to say things as subtle and gentle as you can, but some
people won't have it; then it's emotions like tectonic plates. The
tension builds, then one day, earthquake. Don't read anything drastic
into that, I just end up saying things in a blunt way, and people
don't like that either.
Trendy things are like the Doppler effect.
I don't recall if I've mentioned this before, but if you move to a
place like this, bring enough money to buy a house. Even if all you
can find is low paying work, you won't have to pay for shelter.
Otherwise, you'll have a hard time ever buying a house, or even
moving back where you came from.
Start noticing advertisements that
only pitch the peripheral benefits of a thing. Advertising that's
interesting because it completely omits the usual selling points of
that type of product or service. Somebody wants to get rid of a dog;
says he's a real good watchdog, but nothing about how he is in the
house, with kids, or other animals. Means he barks a lot.
So I wonder about women that dress in a sexy way. What, no deeper
qualities to relate?
If the government decides to play the Bankers' game, then it becomes
a child of the bankers. Has to start playing the game, redefine GDP,
things like that.
