I put a link to this post on Facebook, I got this response, I figured I'd reply here.
"James I am surprised by you with these thoughts. If God is in control do we need to worry about to many poor people coming around us? ---------------------- If I wanted to live in Mexico, I'd move there. If people here are affected by the decisions of their leaders, then they become our additional government. As though we don't have enough already. When you take a water safety class, and you get to the part about saving drowning people, the emphasis is on taking something out there with you. Always take a stick, a rope, a jacket, something. That way, you let the drowning person grab that thing, then you pull them to shore. If you get too close, there is a strong possibility that they will climb on top of you, and you will both drown. If we want to help some poor people, open borders will make us all poor, few left to do any helping. Besides, we have a huge problem with government anyway, we should deal with ours, and they deal with theirs. "If God is in control" why take out the trash, change the motor oil, or paint the house? Some things require maintenance. Why have borders or a country for that matter? The pivotal question is around the word injustice. I think it's appropriate to speak out for those treated unjustly. The initial post points out the effects of an increase in blue collar workers, and it is they I speak out on behalf of. No doubt I could be affected, as my craft depends on commerce. But again, "injustice". It is a strong possibility that God would not accept the term in this context, as this could be at a judgment on a blue collar class that loves sin, and has no protection from God. I wouldn't be surprised by that at all, or of the country being fragmented into portions of its former self. The reason I made the post was due to all the people that actually desire open borders. If they are not willing to try the policy in a limited region, with the requirement that they reside there full time, then they suffer from irreparable damage to their credibility. It's a violation of non contradiction, as with any other fallacy.
I'm sorry, bad wording on my part. If we as Christ's children have the good news of salvation to share and God blessing in our lives do we need to worry about having to many poor people coming around us and taking God's blessing from us?
