There's a blog that I read daily, it's the Point blog, by Break Point ministries, founded by Chuck Colson. Here's the link: Point Blog. A post was made about some software that is like spell check, but instead, it checks the tone of the emails you write. That way, they'll always be nice. One of my replies was this:
It's so much like "Relax, let us
do the thinking for you". That's why I figure it would a natural
fit for those in control of the government.
At first, it would only be mandatory
for government offices. Next would be Government Motors and the like;
then all contractors and vendors dealing with the government. After
that, it would find its way into the courtroom: "Mr. Jones, you
have been found guilty of assault; your sentencing includes wearing a
GPS ankle bracelet, and nice-tone software on your computer."
Also included would be all agencies
receiving government grants. As surreal as it is, I can envision a
receptionist at a partial birth abortion clinic using this on her
computer.
Every day I try to make some sense of
what's going on in this country. Is God turning the nation over to
the consequences of making its own government god? Or do liberals
know that their time in power is limited, and the decisions we see
them enacting are like a scorched earth policy?
At any rate what I DO know is that
were I to enter a bumper sticker writing contest, it would say:
LIBERALISM IS POLITICAL AIDS.
