I'm not following it too closely, but
the Supreme Court is considering the validity of DOMA. I read one
subtitle at WND saying that this could change the country forever, or
end it as we know it; something like that. Guess what...it's already
ended as you knew it. For this case to make it this far shows the
county's condition. Even if they don't end DOMA this time, which they
probably will; they will in the future. What's to stop them? Is there
a one of them saying or thinking “Thus says the Lord”? I doubt
it.
Oh but it's all the musings of a
redneck in the hills. On a related note, here are more contemplations
from same guy: I keep thinking something big happened back in the
late fifties and early sixties. I've considered this passage in 2nd
Thessalonians:
3
Let
no man deceive you by any means: for [that
day shall not come],
except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be
revealed, the son of perdition;
4 Who
opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that
is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God,
shewing himself that he is God.
5 Remember
ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
6 And
now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.2
7
For
the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth
[will
let],
until he be taken out of the way.
What
if the restraint removed in verse 7 happened at that time? Technology
was set to change the world as had never been before, and did so.
Look at the changes that happened in a single decade. Since the US
was already the world leader in communications, the changes were
worldwide, and continue to this day.
Now
consider Daniel 11:37:
36
And
the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself,
and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous
things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the
indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be
done.
37
Neither
shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor
regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all
What
does that part about the love of women mean? Is this ruler
Homosexual? Womens rights activism goes back to the 19th
century at least, but hit its high water mark in the early seventies.
So it was Racial rights, Womens rights, then behavior rights (Gay
rights). Is it a stretch to think the current and future occupants of
the Oval Office will follow the same order? That's 3 more years for
The African American President, and 8 years for the woman president,
then the Homo? 11 years till major changes take place? It's just
speculation; but it's obvious that there's a direction for the moral
and political events taking place. That direction follows the
spiritual conflict at large. It's everywhere; South American
countries are going that direction too.
There
are a lot of wasps in this part of the country, but I have a pact
with them. It goes back about 15 years. I had an import pickup
sitting on the property, which I needed to salvage a part from. There
was no bed on it, but the frame, cab, and drive train parts were all
there. The part I needed was under the back of the cab. So I
literally wove myself above and below the differential and cross
members. There was no way I could exit quickly. Just when I was
situated to get the part, I looked in front of me, and there, 12
inches away from my face, was a very robust wasp nest. They were
quite aware of my presence, but they all migrated to the backside of
their paper nest. One large one would regularly crawl around to the
side facing me to see if I was still there. Honestly, I do not like
stinging bugs, they give me the Willies. If I get stung several
times, I can feel that nauseousness in my system. So I started
talking to them. Something about guys, I just need one part, then
I'll be gone. I actually removed the part and left without being
stung. That was the beginning of my peace pact, I give them a lot of
slack. Occasionally I find them in the colder months hiding out till
the warmth returns; I try to leave them as uninterrupted as I can.
